Save the dates everyone! 2024 will be 5 years since PURR inception. Through that time, the one constant at the Prancing Unicorn is change and transformation.

Structures, art, decorations constantly shift, mix and morph like water color imprinting over each other with every new event. Various people and groups wash in and out like the tides. Some showed up to make art and express themselves, some came for the connections, some stayed and made PURR their home. Ideas, principles and visions are considered, put into practice, discarded or revised.

On May 17-19, 2024 weekend, we invite you to come back and experience the reimagining of PURR as we reconnect with old friends, make new connections, relive old stories and write new ones at the Prancing Unicorn.

Event Ethos

This event is guided by Burning Man principles, mixed with newly created PURR principles. All attendees are participants and co-creators, including DJs, artists, performers, volunteers, food, entertainment, healing providers, etc. Your expression is your gift and your gift is your expression. Gifting culture means no vendoring during the event. Everyone (except for essential staff) needs to buy a ticket. We are keeping ticket prices low to broaden accessibility.

Fundraiser

Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the development of an outdoor activity space at PURR. DACHA Camp has donated a 30 ft dome, and we are planning to build it at PURR to provide covered spaces for dances, performances, yoga, meditation, and meetings. Etc. Funds will go to buying materials for the deck and flooring of the dome. When complete, the dome will provide needed covered spaces for outdoor activities during sunny or rainy days. PURR seeks to continue providing safe spaces for the creative community in the PNW to rest, recreate and express their creativity through meaningful shared experiences.
